Here are some of the foundations that assist patients financially. Many of them have specific guidelines and financial criteria. You can take a look and see which ones you might qualify for. Some require a social worker’s signature and/or a verification of diagnosis letter from your oncologist.
- Pink Aid Pink Purse Fund: Pink Aid’s Pink Purse | Emergency Financial Assistance – Pink AidThis fund will assist with a household bill or provide you with a gift card for gas in some cases. This link will explain the fund and application process. Take a look at the guidelines to check if you meet eligibility for household income. There is an online application for convenience.
- Harbor of Hope: Provides up to $500 in assistance household bills. Here is the link Home – Harbor of Hope Inc. Look for the application.
- Atlanta Cancer Care Foundation (ACCF): This foundation will assist with $250 for gas, grocery or a household bill. Contact them directly to request the application. You can complete your portion and sign then return to your social worker/case manager who will add the medical portion, sign and send off to the Foundation.
- Susan G. Komen Financial Assistance Program: This program will deposit $500 into your bank account if you meet their eligibility guidelines. - Pink Fund: Financial Help for Breast Cancer Patients – The Pink FundThis is an online process. You can apply online and see if you pre-qualify on line as well.
- Pennies with a Purpose: Small grant ($100) for patients in great financial need. Give Now | Pennies With PurposeAn application will be required to be considered.

RX Outreach
A nonprofit organization that provides affordable medicines for those who qualify financially. Provides 90-day and 180-day supplies of prescription medications, regardless of the number of pills your doctor prescribes per day for most medications. Help is available to people regardless of age or whether they use another discount medicine or patient assistance program, and even to those who currently have a pharmacy benefit, such as Medicare Part D.

Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
May be able to assist with bill payments, an energy crisis, and weatherization and energy-related home repairs. To apply, call the National Energy Assistance Referral (NEAR) project toll-free at the number provided to get the contact information for your local LIHEAP office.

Family Reach
Family Reach – (Food/Utility/Transportation)
A nonprofit that provides financial support to cancer patients and caregivers in active treatment. They pay landlords, utility companies, and grocery bills so that no family has to choose between their health and basic needs. They also connect families to additional support within their region and offer a financial guidebook and tip sheets.

Compass to Care (Transportation for children)
Ensures all families can access life-saving cancer treatment for their children by scheduling and paying for travel arrangements to the hospital where a child is being treated for cancer. Child must be under the age of 18, diagnosed with cancer, and currently be in active cancer treatment. Also, must be traveling at least 60 miles (one way) to reach the hospital for child’s treatment.
